World AIDS Day 2025: Overcoming Disruption
Our recent World AIDS Day Commemoration, presented by AID Atlanta and Positive Impact Health Centers, was a powerful testament to our community’s strength.
Guided by this year’s theme, "Overcoming disruption, transforming the AIDS response," we honored those we’ve lost and celebrated those thriving with HIV. Despite global challenges and funding cuts, we remain committed to innovation and resilience.
Special thanks to BLACC, AHF Pharmacy, Aniz, and our vital community partners, presenters, and award recipients for making this evening possible.

Looking Forward
As we forge forward, 2026 is upon us—we will continue our work to end HIV as we know it. This is a realistic goal because we have the tools available. We have condoms, testing, and we have PrEP services to prevent new infections.
But the real, transformative power lies in care.
Our goal is clear: we must get and keep every patient into care, and keep them there, to achieve an undetectable viral load.
Why? Because Undetectable means Untransmittable (U=U). When the virus is suppressed, it cannot be transmitted through sexual contact. This simple, yet powerful truth is how we end the epidemic.
As we begin our 44th year of service in 2026, we continue to break down every barrier to care, fight stigma, and provide transportation, housing, and other essential services that prevent patients from staying connected to our services and achieving U-U. People cannot focus on their viral load if they can't meet their basic needs. That's where you come in.
Your help powers our outreach through the men’s and women’s programs, covering urgent needs such as insurance co-pays, utilities, transportation, and nutrition assistance, and ensuring patients have stable housing. These are the essential services that support individuals in care and help them achieve an undetectable status.
Please support our programs with a generous gift. Let's make 2026 the year we honor our history by securing our future. We need your help now, more than ever, in this fight.
