2011 Debutantes

Gabriella Sofia “Sophie” Isabel (Jesse Rhodes)

Donate to Me

Gabriella Sofia “Sophie” Isabel is the daughter of 2010 Cotillion debutant Jessica Lynn Palmer. Jessica met the Prince of Asturias, Alejandro Isabel, on one of her many international flights to Spain. It was on one of these trips that Jessica and Alejandro had a passionate and intimate affair and “Sophie” was the result of that affair. However, because of Jessica’s southern style, she had to leave her newborn daughter in the care of the royal family.

Growing up in northern Spain, Sophie became accustomed to the royal lifestyle and was constantly exposed to the high society. This exposure created a driving desire to contribute to the community. However, her mother Jessica, wanting her only daughter to experience the same southern life she had, kidnapped Sophie and whisked her back to the USA. Understandably, Sophie was profoundly upset but soon realized her mother’s desperate desire for her to be a well-rounded young lady.

Today, Sophie enjoys the same privileges her mother was afforded, as well as being the sole heiress to the Spanish crown. One of her favorite quotes that she is often overheard reciting is by Sir Isaac Newton, “ If I have seen further than others, it is because I have stood on the shoulder of giants.” In addition, Sophie has followed in her mother’s footsteps and works for Delta as a Purser, where she travels between Atlanta and New York. In her spare time, she attends many charitable events and enjoys philanthropic work. It is her desire to raise as much money for AID Atlanta so that the organization can continue to offer much-needed services to the Atlanta community.
