AIDS Walk Atlanta & 5K Run 2012
Spokespeople coming soon!

Read about our 2011 spokesperson Bobbie Bentley:

My name is Bobbie Bentley.  I found out that I was HIV+ nearly 10 years ago when I was barely 20 and pregnant.  I can honestly say that I had no idea what was going to happen next.

Until I needed the services I had never heard of AID Atlanta.   I was alone, but for my child.  And we were clinging to faith like a cat in a tree.   Faith led us to AID Atlanta whose case managers helped us find shelter and resources.   We were connected with the right people to get us stable.

AIDS Walk Atlanta & 5K Run’s Participating Organizations help with housing, food, medical care, clothing, mental health and a host of other services.  These organizations are run by real people who help others who need the extra help -- people who have no one else.

I ask you – who do you know?  Do you know someone living with HIV?  Do you know someone who is worrying about the AIDS Drug Assistance Programs?  Do you know someone who uses the services of AID Atlanta and the other wonderful AIDS service organizations?  Do you know someone who has to make decisions about whether or not to pay bills or pay for meds?

If you didn’t know someone – you do now.  Me – Bobbie Bentley.  I am a mother, a child, a friend, and I am honored to be the spokesperson for AIDS Walk Atlanta & 5K Run 2011.
