2010 Debutantes

Jessica Lynn Palmer(Mathew Palmer)

Jessica Lynn Palmer was born into the well-respected Palmer family, residing on the Fudge Hill Plantation in what is affectionately known as the “Great State of Baker,” a gorgeous rural county in Southwestern Georgia that hugs the banks of the beautiful Flint River. The Palmers are a proud family and none are more proud than Jessica Lynn’s father and mother, Roger Clifford and Dicie Kay Palmer (nee Marchant).

Her grandmothers, Cora Bell Marchant and Waver Virginia Cross, were both amazing Southern women. Out of their earnest desire to foster a mannerly, polite, socially skilled young lady, they taught Jessica Lynn from a very early age how to be graceful under pressure. They were but two of the many women who were very influential in Jessica Lynn’s upbringing, offering advice under the fig tree and almost always with sweet tea in hand.

In her early years, it was almost without fail that Jessica Lynn could be found on Fudge Hill Plantation with two of her favorite childhood friends, Jennifer and Leslee.  To this day, jealousy and rumors abound about these three young ladies since they were, and are still, the most envied in the small, familial community

Jessica Lynn attended the prestigious Betty Dale Genteel School for Young Ladies where she was properly taught to behave and treat others with honor, dignity and respect for better relationships with family, friends and associates…and, obviously, that a young lady should never wear white shoes before Easter or after Labor Day! She was also an active member of Sale City Baptist Church located in the historic high school building down on Barnes Street.

Today, Jessica Lynn, the twin sister of Mathew Palmer, is extremely charming and a true Southern Belle who is measured by her character, upstanding qualities, discrimination and taste. She creates her own sense of social worth by her intelligence, refinement and actions.  Both Jessica Lynn and Mathew have an astute awareness of volunteerism and patriotism and strive to increase their community involvement and knowledge of civic activities.

Jessica Lynn is now an esteemed Flight Attendant with Delta Air Lines, a company that epitomizes southern hospitality. She enjoys frolicking in Savannah, following Braves baseball, drinking Coca-Cola and, of course, Mister Jimmy.
