March is Social Work Month
March is Social Work Month! This year, National Association of Social Workers chose the theme “The Time is Right For Social Work”. There are over 720,000 social workers across the US and that number is projected to grow by 12% by the end of the decade. With everything happening in our world today, social workers rise to the challenge of caring for those in our community who are most in need. They walk alongside people during life’s toughest moments and fight for communities who aren’t able to fight for themselves. While this work is incredibly essential in building a better world, it can also be incredibly draining for our social workers. Burnout is a real and harmful consequence of taking on the burdens of the world. Next time you see a social worker, make sure show your appreciation and support. A kind word goes a long way We see you, social workers. Thank you for picking us all up when we fall down #AIDAtlanta#AIDATL#socialworkmonth#socialworkers#stophivtogether#endthestigma#mentalhealth#love
