Long-Term Survivors Awareness Day June 5

June 5 is HIV Long-Term Survivors Awareness Day. First observed in 2014, it’s a day to honor long-term survivors of HIV and raise awareness about their needs, issues, and journeys.

This year’s theme is “Mobilize to Thrive: Prioritizing Quality of Life.” This call to action encourages people to celebrate the strength and resiliencies of people living longest with HIV. It also highlights current challenges and creates changes to help prioritize and improve the quality of life for long-term survivors and older adults with HIV.
