Champion of Hope – Timothy Webb
Today we’re celebrating Timothy Webb, Jr., AID Atlanta’s current Community Outreach Coordinator, as our next #40for40#ChampionsOfHope!
Timothy Webb, Jr. is an Atlanta socialite and HIV advocate who believes in advocating for all walks of life. Most of Tim’s days are split working full-time as AID Atlanta’s Community Outreach Coordinator and volunteering his time and services to a myriad of committees, groups, and other organizations. Tim believes a key element to success in the fight against HIV/AIDS is widespread education and awareness; previously worked with State Representative Mable “Able” Thomas of House District 56 on bringing HIV awareness to her district through testing, education, and outreach, including providing 500 book bags to children in the district.
Volunteering is one of Tim’s primary passions, evident by the many efforts he is involved in around Atlanta. Tim currently serves as a voting member of the Ryan White Planning Council and serves as the Chair of the Consumer Caucus. He is also an active member of the Positive Peers of Georgia, an Alumnus member of Impulse Group Atlanta, and a Community Mobilizer of the State of Georgia for AIDS Healthcare Foundation. The true testimony of Tim is evident through his infectious compassion, where he uses his connections in the community to encourage everyone he encounters to go above and beyond, while also helping others physically, spiritually, and emotionally.
We couldn’t possibly include all of Tim’s impressive accolades, but we are very thankful to have such a powerful force for good in our AID Atlanta Family, connecting the community through meaningful education and awareness!
