Champion of Hope LaTonya Morrissette
Today we’re celebrating LaTonya Morrissette, AID Atlanta’s very own Director of Quality & Compliance, as one of our 40 for 40 Champions of Hope! As a Georgia native, LaTonya’s passion for her work started in 1997 when she was a young graduate in her position as Resident Manager at the Phoenix Project in Savannah, GA, where she first learned of the unique experiences and circumstances of people living with HIV. LaTonya got her start serving our AID Atlanta community by working in our housing and case management services, while also lending her time and talents to a local night shelter for women. Over almost 23 years of service at AID Atlanta, LaTonya has worked her way up through the agency to achieve her current position as Director of Quality & Compliance on AID Atlanta’s Senior Management Team. AND, while doing all of that, LaTonya has spent the last 5 years growing her lifestyle and portrait photography business, where she enjoys meeting people from across the Greater Atlanta Area. LaTonya helps tell a critical piece of AID Atlanta’s story through data collection, analysis, and dissemination. She fully embraces her personal mission in life: to inspire excellence and continuous self-development for everyone that she encounters. It is her prayer that she is able to leave a lasting legacy of positive impact for her loved ones and her community. We are lucky to have her as a member of the AID Atlanta Family
