Atlanta Cotillion: An Imperial Reunion taking place after 10-year hiatus!
This Saturday, March 19, Biltmore’s Imperial Ballroom will host a gathering of some of the most ferocious fundraising competitors in Atlanta’s LGBTQ community. Atlanta Cotillion began in 2002 as a fun and unique way to raise unrestricted funds for AID Atlanta by the LGBT community. For 11 fundraising ‘seasons’, each successive campaign grew and fundamentally changed the participants, guests, and AID Atlanta’s capacity to do more for our community. Through the participants’ and supporters’ hard work and dedication, Atlanta Cotillion became the largest donor of unrestricted funds for AID Atlanta. Atlanta Cotillion’s success can be directly attributed to the fundraising competitors – the Debutantes. Over the life of Atlanta Cotillion, more than 90 gentlemen joined the cause! Organizers adopted the slogan “Are You Man Enough?” to ask their friends and neighbors if they would do ANYTHING to help our cause…even wear a dress! The focus of the Atlanta Cotillion reunion has always been to honor former debutantes with kudos and praise to titleholders, committee members, chairs/co-chairs, and thousands who supported each individual debutante’s fundraising efforts. While this year’s Atlanta Cotillion: Imperial Reunion event is sold out, the debutante alumni will be visiting each other and other supporters at watering holes around town after the event ends. Thank you to our reunion partners, supporters, and donors.
